Meet Our Pediatric Dentist in Airdrie

Dr. Peeyush Ranjan

Dr. Ranjan’s journey in dentistry began in 2009 when he earned his General Dentistry degree. It didn’t take long for him to discover his true passion: working with children. This passion led him to pursue specialized training in pediatric dentistry, which he completed through a residency at Nova Southeastern Universityand Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. During his training, he served as Chief Resident. He is also a Board Certified  pediatric dentist in both the USA and Canada.

Dr. Ranjan is deeply committed to providing care tailored to the needs of every child. During his residency, he conducted a master’s research project at the Mailman Segal Center for Human Development, focusing on how picture-guided techniques can help children with Autism Spectrum Disorder improve their oral hygiene. This experience strengthened his dedication to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all children.

My son and daughter had a really great experience. They didn’t feel scared and were made to feel at ease the entire time. The hygienist explained each tool and how it would feel before using it, which helped a lot and didn’t startle them. They were comfortable throughout the visit. The staff here are very friendly.

Dr. Ranjan and the Tooth Pals team are amazing! My son has autism so going the dentist can be very overstimulating and stressful. My daughter is also very shy and fearful of the dentist. Every time we have brought both of them, the experience has been wonderful, both children love going in, and they walk out with smiles! The doctor is thorough and all the staff are caring and patient, we never have to worry or dread the dentist anymore 😊

Paige Nicholls

All three of my children go to Tooth Pals and they actually get excited for visits! From the friendly knowledgeable staff to the amazing waiting area. They have made what used to be a scary experience into a fun one and we are so very thankful!

Tooth Pals has been amazing with our family, and we couldn’t be happier!
I brought my son in for his appointment and was so impressed with how smooth and enjoyable the entire visit was. A huge shout-out to Stephanie, who went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable and relaxed.
She explained everything in a way he understood, kept him smiling the whole time, and turned what could’ve been a stressful experience into something he actually enjoyed. As a parent, there’s nothing better than seeing your child walk out happy and confident after a dental appointment!
We’re truly grateful for the wonderful care and warm atmosphere at Tooth Pals! 👏🦷💙

FAQ's

Your child should see the dentist at age one or six months after the eruption of their first tooth. Early visits allow healthy development to be tracked and dental care to become normal and enjoyable from an early stage.
Pediatric dentists are a bit more qualified to attend to care, that is, oral care for children. They are aware of children’s ways of thinking and create a comfortable, child-focused environment geared toward smiles in the making.
The initial visit is a gentle, instructional, and enjoyable experience! We examine your child’s teeth, provide tips on hygiene, and respond to questions—laying the groundwork for a lifetime of good dental habits.
Children need to see the dentist every six months. Checkups prevent issues, monitor progress, and establish familiarity and self-confidence with dental care.
Baby teeth are used for chewing and speaking. They also direct the permanent teeth to the correct place. They play an important role in overall growth and encourage a confident, cheerful smile.
Begin by wiping your baby’s gums gently, then clean with a soft toothbrush and a small smear of fluoride toothpaste when teeth emerge. An early start guarantees strong, healthy habits.
Cavities are the result of sugar and bacteria. Brushing with fluoride toothpaste, no sugary snacks, water drinking, and a visit to the dentist keep your child’s smile cavity-free.
Yes! Sealants keep the pits of back teeth free of food and germs. They are safe, quick, and a great way to prevent cavities as your child grows.
